Two football players from Deer Lakes High School who suffered head injuries Friday night have been released from the hospital, school district officials said.
Junior linebacker Michael McGraw, 17, and senior linebacker Dylan Dempsey, 18, both had to be taken to hospitals during Friday's game against Ford City High School.
Deer Lakes football coach Todd Hazlett said Friday that he did not know when the players were injured, but both continued to play and were pulled at separate times after they complained of feeling "woozy."
One player was pulled during the third quarter and flown to a hospital, and the second player was transported after the game.
Michael was taken to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and Mr. Dempsey to Allegheny General Hospital.
The two continue to recuperate at home.
