An Indiana Township man was killed early Sunday by a motorist driving the wrong way on Route 28, authorities said.

Matthew Eiseman, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene in O'Hara shortly after 1 a.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

State troopers said the crash happened north of the Delafield exit at about 12:40 p.m., when a vehicle driven by James Hanion, 62, whose address was not available, was traveling south in the northbound lane of Route 28 while Mr. Eiseman was traveling north in the left lane. Part of the highway was shut down for nearly six hours.

Police said alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. The district attorney's office is investigating, troopers said.
