Butler woman dies in car-truck collision

A Butler woman died when she pulled out in front of a truck Tuesday morning, prompting the beginning of a three-car crash.

Marcella "Betty" Fallecker, 89, stopped at a stop sign on Woodhawk Lane and then pulled out in front of a Grove City bucket truck heading west on Route 422 shortly before 10 a.m., state police wrote in a news release.

The truck collided with the driver's side of Ms. Fallecker's car.

Ms. Fallecker died at the scene and the bucket truck driver, Chase Badger, 28, of Grove City, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
