Butler County man dies during fight in Kittanning

State police are asking for help in an investigation involving the death of a Butler County man.
Police said James Sullivan, 39, of Chicora, was involved in a "physical altercation...that resulted in his death." A news release from the state police Kittanning barracks noted that "no weapons were utilized" in the incident.
Police ask that anyone with information contact the barracks at 724-543-2011.
The altercation occurred at 1:30 a.m. today on Montieth Street in Kittanning. The other person involved in the fight was not identified by police. There was no indication that criminal charges would be filed but the news release specifies that the investigation is continuing.
