Butler County man charged with killing another

Butler City police said a man fatally shot another man early Thursday and then called police to report the shooting.
Richard Neyman, 35, of Butler, was arraigned Thursday afternoon on a charge of criminal homicide in the death of 45-year-old Craig Haas, also of Butler.
Police said Mr. Neyman shot Mr. Haas at his apartment at 430 W. New Castle St. about 1:15 a.m. He called police immediately afterwards to report he had just shot Mr. Haas, police said.
Officers arrived at the apartment to find Mr. Haas dead. They arrested Mr. Neyman about a half-mile from the apartment complex, at 120 E. Jefferson St.
Mr. Neyman remained in the Butler County Prison without bail on Thursday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Monday.
