According to Mayor George Doscher during council's regular meeting on Tuesday night, Bellevue needs to update its current laws to address the sale of gold and other metals through local pawn and second-hand shops. The proposed law would provide fines and penalties for violations regarding the sale of certain goods, including precious metals.

Council also introduced the first reading of an ordinance which will establish regulations and restrictions on the operations and parking of large motor vehicles in residential areas.

According to Interim Manager Whitney Brady, both ordinances may be approved as early as April. Copies are on file in the borough office.
