At least one injured in Route 28 crash

At least one person had to be transported to a local hospital for injuries suffered in a crash on Route 28 northbound early today.
The crash occurred shortly before 12:30 a.m. near the Shaler water plant, according to an Allegheny County dispatch supervisor.
The severity of the victim's injuries and details about the accident were not immediately available.
Rescue crews had to shut down the highway's northbound lanes until investigators cleared the scene.
