Westinghouse Avenue in North Versailles to close for slide repair

A portion of Westinghouse Avenue in North Versailles will close long-term starting today for repair of a landslide that occurred more than a year ago, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

The section between Mahoning Street/East Pittsburgh-McKeesport Boulevard and Route 148 will close at 7 a.m. and stay closed around the clock through mid-May. Traffic will detour via Route 30 and Route 686. Nearly 14,000 vehicles use the road on a typical day.
