Edgewood water main break not yet repaired

Some Edgewood residents remained without water this morning while crews worked to repair a main break that happened just after midnight.
According to Allegheny County dispatchers, a passing motorist reported the break at Vine Street and Greendale Avenue. Water was cascading down to the Parkway exit and the street appeared to be torn up.
Workers from the Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority said crews were still working to fix the main at about 8:30 a.m. They did not know how many people had lost their water or when the repairs will be completed.
