Equipment and furnishings will remain in place at Vincent's Pizza Park following the withdrawal of a request for a sheriff's sale of the items.

The event was supposed to take place today, but it was cancelled after a lawyer for Toni Zollner, the daughter of the man who started the business in 1950, withdrew the sale request. No reason was given for the action. A call to Ms. Zollner's lawyer was not returned.

Ms. Zollner, the daughter of the late Vincent Chianese, had sought the sale. She claimed the partners who had taken over the business owed her unpaid royalties and back rent for the property at 998 Ardmore Blvd., North Braddock. The landmark restaurant is very close to the Forest Hills municipal line.

The restaurant was closed suddenly by sheriff's deputies last month after Ms. Zollner got a court order for the asset sale.
