Monroeville police are investigating the overnight mass break-in by bicycle-riding thieves of vehicles in a corporate garage on Mosside Boulevard.

Two thieves who arrived at the four-story Compunetix Inc. garage on two wheels smashed their way into 17 or 18 vehicles early Wednesday and stole an undetermined amount of cash and small objects during a roughly 90-minute spree that was caught on video. They did not steal any vehicles.

No dollar damage estimate was available, but "it's gonna be impressive," Assistant Police Chief Steven Pascarella said Wednesday.

The criminals broke two surveillance cameras but their activities were captured by other cameras in the garage. Police were unable to make out the faces of the thieves.
