Ukrainian choir makes stop here

A Ukrainian men's choir will stop in the east suburbs Saturday in a free 6 p.m. concert at Bible Baptist Church, 200 Elicker Road, Plum.

The tour, sponsored by Music in World Cultures, the Slavic Gospel Association and the Future Leadership Foundation, includes sacred music and contempoary songs in Ukrainian, Russian and English.

EAST ALLEGHENY SCHOOLS

Leadership unchanged

The school board has reinstalled Gerri McCullough as board president and Karen Hensler as vice president.

The 7-0 decision came during Monday night's reorganization meeting. Directors Stephen Volpe and Bill Gates were absent.

NORWIN SCHOOLS

Robert Perkins named board president

Robert J. Perkins was named school board president, and Thomas Sturm was selected vice president in 9-0 votes at the school board reorganization meeting Monday.
