Chair decorating promotes art show
The Westmoreland Museum of American Art wants local businesses to sponsor a chair to decorate for a unique "Sit on It!" display at the museum from March 1 through March 4.
This event promotes the exhibition, "The Art of Seating: 200 Years of American Design," through interpretations of chair designs envisioned by local businesses and artists.
A kickoff is set for 6 to 8 p.m. March 1 at the museum on North Main Street. Tickets are $10 each.
Interested businesses can sponsor a chair for $200. The Westmoreland will help find an artist, or the businesses can decorate the chair. Details: Laura Zorch at 724-837-1500 ext. 31 or lzorch@wmuseumaa.org
