A teenager died and then came back to life after he was shot tonight in McKeesport.

Police who were called to Craig Street near the Crawford Village housing complex about 8:10 p.m. found the boy with a gunshot wound to the back of the neck or head, Allegheny County homicide Lt. Andrew Schurman said.

Medics transported him to UPMC McKeesport and then he was then flown to a hospital in Pittsburgh.

The boy and doctors revived him, the lieutenant said. He declined to release the boy's name because he is under 18.

Anyone with information is asked to call homicide detectives at 412-473-1300.
