Teen stabbed during fight in Turtle Creek

One teen was stabbed and another is in custody after an early morning fight in Turtle Creek, Allegheny County police said.

The 14-year-old was stabbed in the abdomen during a fight around 1:15 a.m. in the 900 block of Oak Avenue, according to a news release from county Lt. Andrew Schurman. Police are not releasing the victim's name.

County homicide detectives, who are leading the investigation, charged 18-year-old Marc Ely of East McKeesport in connection with the fight. He is in the Allegheny County Jail awaiting arraignment on aggravated assault charges.

The injured teen was taken to to Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville in stable condition. Several young men were involved in the altercation, and Turtle Creek police detained multiple people in the area, according to the release.
