Suspended lawyer charged with using retired partner's signature

A Wilkinsburg man has been charged with forging his retired partner's signature on court documents and inappropriately using money meant for estate funds.
Allan Gallimore, 58, surrendered to the Allegheny County district attorney's office on Wednesday. He faces charges of theft, forgery and unauthorized practice of law.
Mr. Gallimore's license to practice was suspended in 2008 and has not yet been reinstated, investigators from the district attorney's office wrote in a criminal complaint.
They said Mr. Gallimore forged his former partner's signature on documents several times since his partner retired. During that time, he also advised someone living in an apartment building owned by an estate to address rent checks to him and then failed to deposit about $18,000 in the estate fund, according to the complaint.
Mr. Gallimore was released on bail and could not immediately be reached for comment. He is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 10.
