A 21-year-old man accused of fatally shooting another man in Penn Hills was arrested Friday after spending nearly a month on the lam.

Frank Booker, of Penn Hills, is being held in the Allegheny County Jail without the possibility of bond, according to court records.

Mr. Booker faces charges of homicide, robbery and a firearms violation in connection with the May 11 shooting death of Calvonne Rollins, 20, also of Penn Hills. Mr. Booker was also wanted in a burglary that occurred in Penn Hills in February.

Detectives wrote in an affidavit supporting the arrest that Mr. Rollins was driving a Cadillac Escalade with several passengers, including a 1-year-old boy, when he stopped on Crab Hollow Road to pick up Mr. Booker, who asked to be driven to Blackadore Avenue, where Mr. Booker lives.

They wrote that Mr. Booker pulled out a silver revolver and told Mr. Rollins to "throw it." Some of the passengers tried to push the gun away, but Mr. Booker got out of their grasp. He fired at least one shot inside the car and several other shots as he fled, police said.

Mr. Booker is scheduled to appear in court at 10 a.m. Friday for a preliminary hearing on the homicide and robbery charges.
