A homeless 19-year-old was arrested this morning in the stealing of a Turtle Creek ambulance that turned up in Rostraver, police said.

Jonathan David Miracle has been charged with a felony count of receiving stolen property.

Rostraver police found Mr. Miracle standing outside the driver's side door of the ambulance -- reported stolen through the Swissvale police department -- about 2:20 a.m. at the BFS Foods convenience store on Route 51.

A Westmoreland County dispatcher said the person driving it had stopped for gas at the BFS Foods.

Mr. Miracle was wearing clothes not typical of an emergency service personnel, police said.

The Eastern Area PreHospital service ambulance, which was stocked as normal when police arrived, had also been spotted Tuesday night in Irwin.

Mr. Miracle was taken to the Westmoreland County Detention Center, where he will await arraignment.
