Pennsylvania State Police today obtained a warrant for an inmate who failed to return to Gateway Braddock Community Corrections.

Richard Steven Moore, 42, of Bellevue, did not return to the facility Wednesday after his authorized trip to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Department of Welfare offices, police said in a news release.

Also known as Charles Smith, Mr. Moore is serving time for fleeing or attempting to elude an officer. His "extensive" criminal history includes terroristic threats, assault and reckless endangerment, police said.

Mr. Moore is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. Anyone with information about his whereabouts are asked to call state police at 412-787-2000.
