A Somerset County man is in jail on charges that he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl while she and her younger brother slept at the suspect's home.

Paul E. Enos, 27, of Somerset Township, is charged with two counts each of indecent assault of an unconscious victim; indecent assault without consent; indecent assault of a person under age 16; and child endangerment, state police said.

Mr. Enos also is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and a smoking pipe that troopers found upon his arrest at the residence.

He is free on $10,000 bond, pending a preliminary hearing set for 10 a.m. Tuesday before District Judge Arthur Cook in Somerset Borough.

Police said the children were left in Mr. Enos' care Wednesday night.

Sometime between 3:30 and 3:55 a.m. Thursday, the girl told police, she was awakened by Mr. Enos molesting her.

She waited until the suspect went back to bed. Then the girl awakened her 11-year-old brother and the two fled from the residence, police said.

District Judge Douglas Bell, who arraigned Mr. Enos on the charges, ordered him to refrain from any contact with the alleged victim and her family. He also must stay away from any other minor children, including his own, police said.
