Shots fired at East Hills shopping center

Penn Hills police are investigating after someone fired shots at the East Hills Shopping Center this evening.

Police were patrolling the area when they thought they heard shots fired shortly before 5 p.m. One person who was injured traveled to UPMC Shadyside by private means. That person's condition was not immediately available.

Detectives remained at the scene an hour and a half later.
