A would-be robber was sent away empty handed this morning by his intended victim in Westmoreland County.
State police at the Kiski Valley barracks said a man dressed in black attempted to rob an attendant at the Export Laundromat on Kennedy Avenue in Export at about 2:10 a.m.
Police said John Orsingher, 50, was working on equipment when the man entered the building and demanded money. After being told by Mr. Orsingher that he had no money, the suspect pulled a handgun from his pocket and announced that "he was serious," police said. Mr. Orsingher replied "that he, too, was serious and that he did not have any money."
The suspect left on foot after searching the interior of the building.
No other details are available.
