An Indiana County man died Thursday morning when the pickup truck he was driving crossed the center line and collided with a coal truck, igniting both vehicles.

Stephen Yamrick, 22, of Glen Campbell, was driving to work on Route 36 in Banks when he hit the truck about 7 a.m., Indiana County Coroner Mike Baker said in a news release.

Mr. Baker said the coal truck driver, whose name and condition he did not know, attempted unsuccessfully to pull Mr. Yamrick from the truck.

Mr. Yamrick died on impact and was officially pronounced dead at 8:41 a.m., the coroner said. He has ruled the death an accident.
