An Oakmont builder who pleaded guilty to willful failure to pay taxes was sentenced Tuesday to one year and three days in prison and must pay the Internal Revenue Service $708,347 in restitution.
Louis Lamanna, 46, ran up a tax bill of $613,357 and borrowed money to pay it back, but he spent that money on luxury cars, prosecutors said at his June plea hearing.
U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab imposed the sentence, which also includes three years of probation.
Mr. Lamanna was involved with Bentley Construction Co., L&S Landscaping and Rub a Dub Dub car wash.
