No one was hurt in a fire this morning at the site of the former Jeannette Glass Factory in Jeannette.

An emergency dispatcher said a blaze erupted at 2:30 a.m. then rekindled at 8:30 a.m. at the old plant on Bullitt Avenue. Officials believe that ongoing demolition work at the site sparked the fire, the dispatcher said.

The old plant has been the focus of attention recently, as officials of the state Department of Environmental Protection recently obtained a search warrant to take samples involving waste on the site.

The glass plant closed in 1983.
