The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation expects to have two lanes of traffic restored in both directions on Route 30 in North Braddock late this afternoon.

The new eastbound bridge over Electric Avenue was scheduled to open Tuesday with a single-lane pattern maintained while crews remove barriers.

The area will be free of restrictions until spring, when the westbound bridge is scheduled to be torn down and replaced. Then, westbound traffic will cross over and a single-lane pattern in both directions will be repeated.

The overall project is scheduled for completion late next year.
