The new owner of Mystery Lovers Bookshop in Oakmont will be Laurie Miller Stephens of Dallas, Tex.

Richard Goldman and Mary Alice Gorman, the couple who has owned the shop for 22 years, are retiring and announced the new owners today. The shop is holding its 17th annual festival of mystery Monday.

Ms. Stephens, who has had a 35-year career as a bookseller, librarian and director of a lecture series, is moving to the Pittsburgh area to run the store and live close to her daughter in Pittsburgh's Highland Park neighborhood.

Mr. Goldman and Ms. Gorman plan to stay at the shop through the summer to ensure a smooth transition to the new owner.
