New Kensington woman charged in death of daughter, 11

A New Kensington woman has been charged with manslaughter in the death of her 11-year-old daughter in a Salisbury, Md., accident, according to Wicomico County district court records.

Tabitha Dobrzynski, 38, was charged Sunday with four related charges: negligent manslaughter due to careless operation of a motor vehicle, marijuana possession, and life-threatening injury caused by reckless driving of a motor vehicle and drug consumption.

Maryland state police said Ms. Dobrzynski's 11-year-old daughter was killed after being ejected from the vehicle.

Ms. Dobrzynski received medical attention at the scene after being arrested. State police said she showed signs of drug-related impairment.
