At least four firefighters were injured yesterday in a blaze that continues to smolder this morning at an Indiana County printing plant.

At least 13 departments responsed to the fire at a Creps United Publications facility at 40 Christy Park Drive in White Township. It was initially reported at 8:37 a.m. Tuesday. Thick smoke could be seen billowing from the scene for miles around.

Around 9 p.m., an Indiana County dispatcher said firefighters had managed to extinguish the structure fire. Crews remained on scene hours later attempting to control burning debris inside the facility, at one point using a bulldozer to clear out burning materials.

The dispatcher said the conditions of the injured firefighers did not appear to be serious.
