A man died after he crashed his pick-up truck into a parked car and then into a fence and a utility pole in Hempfield Friday night.

Officials do not yet know what caused the initial collision, which occurred on Radebaugh Road near the intersection of Detroit Street about 7:15 p.m., said Grapeville fire Chief Mat Griffin.

The chief said the man was alone in his older model Chevrolet and no one else was injured because of the crashes. The man's name had not been released late Friday night.
