Motorist killed in Bedford County crash

A West Virginia man was killed in a crash in Bedford County on Friday after his vehicle landed in a ditch, according to state police.

Police said Stephen Knotts, 50, of Ridgeley, W.Va., was killed after his Ford Windstar van veered off of a turn on Rock Hill Church Road in Monroe, slid down a ditch and flipped over onto the driver's side. Mr. Knotts was not wearing his seat belt, police said.
