A Wilkinsburg man was shot and killed late Tuesday when he took a break from a dominoes game to urinate over the railing of a porch, Allegheny County police said.

The 35-year-old man, identified by the Allegheny County medical examiner's office as Roosevelt Robinson, was playing dominos with friends about 11 p.m. on a covered second-floor portico in the 1100 block of Franklin Avenue.

The man took a break to relieve himself and the group heard a voice from below call out "Yo! Yo!" before several shots sounded and the man collapsed, police said.

He was shot once, police said. The county medical examiner's office said he was transported to UPMC Mercy, where he was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m.

Detectives believe the gunman was located between 1107 and 1111 Franklin Ave. Neighbors said a path between the houses is often used to cut through to the street.

County police asked anyone with information to call 412-473-1300.
