Man killed running across train tracks in Bedford County

A Maryland man was struck and killed by a train Tuesday night in Bedford County.
According to state police, the victim -- a 21-year-old from Cumberland -- was reportedly running across the tracks when he slipped and was struck by an oncoming train around 6 p.m.
He was pronounced dead at the scene in Hyndman, along CSX Railroad tracks.
It is unknown if alcohol played a factor in the incident, and results from toxicology tests are pending, according to state police.
