Man fatally shot in Wilkinsburg identified

Investigators have identified the man who was shot to death in Wilkinsburg Tuesday night.
Police who were called to an apartment at 1007 South Ave. about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday found Anthony Dawson, 25, of Wilkinsburg, with a gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Allegheny County police, who said the shooting happened between 8:10 and 8:20 p.m., have not arrested anyone in the shooting, but they suspect robbery was a motive.
Residents who may have seen any suspicious activity around the time of the shooting are asked to call the Allegheny County police homicide unit at 412-473-1300.
