Inmate kills inmate at Cambria Co. Prison

A Cambria County Prison inmate was strangled by a fellow prisoner at the facility Saturday night, according to state police in Edensburg.

William Sherry, 28, died around 9:30 p.m. after the altercation, police said. The investigating officer, Trooper Kenneth Durbin, declined to provide any more information.

An autopsy completed today determined the cause of death as manual strangulation.
