Fuel spill, crash, closes Route 422 in Armstrong County

Route 422 in Plumcreek, Armstrong County, was shut down early Friday morning after a tractor-trailer crashed and about 300 gallons of fuel spilled onto the highway.

The crash, which occurred before 7 a.m., involved a truck carrying food and a car. No injuries were reported.

Both lanes of Route 422 at the intersection with Margaret Road and Cherry Run Road were closed while crews cleaned up the spill.

The location of the crash is several miles northwest of Elderton.
