CONCERTS

Churchill -- The Masterworks Concert Chorale will present a sing-along performance of Georg Friedrich Handel's oratorio, "Messiah," at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Beulah Presbyterian Church, 2500 McCrady Road. Greensburg -- The Division of Visual and Performing Arts of Seton Hill University will sponsor an opera workshop concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and a student recital at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Carol Ann Reichgut Concert Hall at the university's Performing Arts Center, 100 Harrison Ave. Information: 724-552-2900.

Greensburg -- The Westmoreland Youth Symphony Orchestra Philharmonic will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Carol Ann Reichgut Concert Hall at Seton Hill University's Performing Arts Center, 100 Harrison Ave. The orchestra will present "Dance of the Comedians" by Smetana, selected movements from Bizet's "Carmen" Suites No. 1 and 2 and Borodin's "In the Steppes of Central Asia." Featured soloist is principal second violinist Amber Eckert. The orchestra's string ensemble, a training ensemble for the philharmonic, will open the concert. Information: 724-837-1850.

Penn Township -- The Friends of Penn Trafford Area Recreation Commission will sponsor a performance by the Penn-Trafford Community Band, the Penn-Trafford Flute Choir and the Quinta Voce wind ensemble from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Penn Middle School, 11 Penn Middle Way.
