Greensburg -- The Greensburg Civic Theatre will hold auditions for "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road. The auditions will comprise cold readings from the script. Information: 724-836-7529.
Greensburg -- The Academy of Music of the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra will offer the following courses in the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road. Registration: 724-837-1850.
• Westmoreland Youth Symphony Orchestra String Ensemble, for elementary and middle school string students who study privately and wish to perform in a group setting, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays from Wednesday to Nov. 14. Cost: $90.
• WYSO Intermezzo, for beginning violin students who study privately, 6 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays from Sept. 17 to Nov. 19. Cost: $50.
• Community Strings, geared toward adults, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays from Sept. 18 to Nov. 20. Cost: $99.
Turtle Creek -- The Turtle Creek Fire Department, 125 Monroeville Ave., will sponsor a Poker Run at 11 a.m. Sunday. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. The cost is $20 for drivers and $10 for passengers in advance, $25 and $15 respectively the day of the ride. Information: 412-860-4310.
