ART

Greensburg -- The Westmoreland Museum of American Art will present "Modern Dialect: American Paintings from the John and Susan Horseman Collection" from Friday to Nov. 4. A free opening party, coinciding with the Art on Tap 5.2.7 monthly happy hour event, will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Reservations requested. Information: 724-837-1500, ext. 29.

CHURCH ACTIVITIES

Edgewood -- First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood, 120 E. Swissvale Ave., will hold a peach festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Information: 412-241-4613.

CONCERTS

Penn Hills -- The William E. Anderson Library, 1037 Stotler Road, will host a performance by the Tuesday Music Club, made up of former Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra musicians, at 6:30 p.m. Friday on the lawn. Seating begins at 6 p.m. If inclement weather, concert will move inside. Information: 412-795-3507.

FESTIVALS

Monroeville -- St. Bernadette Catholic Parish, 245 Azalea Drive, will hold a festival at 6 p.m. today through Saturday. The Satin Hearts will perform at 7 tonight, the Latin dance band Guaracha at 9 p.m. Friday and the Barons at 7 p.m. Saturday. Information: 412-373-0050.

LECTURES/SEMINARS

Greensburg -- Greensburg Garden & Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road, will host a program and butterfly release at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Speaker will be Rick Mikula, owner of the Hole-In-Hand Butterfly Farm. Butterflies may be reserved for $6 apiece. Information: 724-837-0245.

ON STAGE

McKeesport -- McKeesport Little Theater, 1614 Coursin St., will host "McKeesport's Got Talent" at 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Singers, solo musicians, dancers, magicians and comedians are welcome to participate. Bands will not be permitted. A rehearsal will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. Information: 412-673-1100.

RECREATION

Derry Township -- The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will sponsor a Nature Hunt Hike from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday. Meet at the James A. Kell Visitor Center. It also will sponsor Kayak Keystone from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Keystone Park Lake. Registration for either event: 724-668-2566.
