CLASSES

Greensburg -- The Academy of Music of the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra will sponsor a flute choir for advanced players from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays from Tuesday to Aug. 14 at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road. FOR CHILDREN

Derry Township -- The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will sponsor the following children's nature programs today, except where otherwise indicated, in Keystone State Park, 1150 Keystone Park Road. Meet at the James A. Kell Visitors Center. Registration: 724-668-2256.

• Tweets for Tots, for children ages 4 and 5 with adult, 1 to 2 p.m.

• Bird Buddies, for children ages 6-8, 2 to 3 p.m.

• Sky Hunters, for children ages 9-11, 1 to 3 p.m. Friday.

LECTURES/SEMINARS

Monroeville -- The adult department of Monroeville Public Library, 4000 Gateway Campus Blvd., will sponsor a resume clinic from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by Marben Bland, job coach and social media expert. Mr. Bland also will present "120 Days to a New Job: A Project Plan for Organizing Your Job Search" from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Information: 412-372-0500, ext. 4.

RECREATION

Derry Township -- The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will sponsor the following nature programs on Saturday, unless otherwise indicated, in Keystone State Park, 1150 Keystone Park Road. Meet at the James A. Kell Visitors Center. Registration: 724-668-2256.

• Kayak Keystone, 2 to 4 p.m.

• Wildlife Rescue, 7 to 8 p.m.

• Visitor Center Exhibits, Games and More!, including nature games and a trivia table, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

RELIGION

Monroeville -- Monroeville Aglow Community Lighthouse will meet at 9:30 a.m. next Thursday at the Golden Corral, 3951 William Penn Highway. Speaker will be Bob Harman. Lunch will follow; participants will order from the menu. Reservations requested by Tuesday. Information: 412-793-8454.

SALES

Hempfield -- The Rosary Altar Society of the Catholic Church of St. Paul, 820 Carbon Road, is accepting donations of housewares, baby items and other goods for its Trash 'n Treasure sale July 20-22 with a bag sale July 23 and an early-bird sale July 19. Donated items will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays beginning Monday. On Mondays, donations also will be accepted from 6 to 8 p.m. Information: 724-834-6880.

Murrysville -- Christ's Lutheran Church, 5330 Logans Ferry Road, will hold a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Information: 412-795-6769.

Penn Hills -- A new-to-you sale will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hebron Church Barclay Building, 10460 Frankstown Road. The sale will include a concession stand and a bake sale. A bag sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday for $4 per bag.
