CLASSES

Greensburg -- The Academy of Music of the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra is holding the following classes at the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road, except where indicated. Information: 724-837-1850.

• Community Strings, primarily adults, 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays. Cost: $99.

• Westmoreland Youth Symphony Orchestra Philharmonic, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Performing Arts Center of Seton Hill University, 100 Harrison Ave. Cost: $180.

• String Ensemble, mostly middle school students, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, starting Wednesday through May 2. Cost: $85.

• Intermezzo, for beginning violin students taking private lessons, 6 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 27 through April 30. Cost: $50.

MEETINGS

Murrysville -- Symphony East will meet at 11 a.m. Feb. 20 at Redstone Highlands, 4951 Cline Hollow Road. Lunch will be at noon, followed by a program featuring Lance LaDuke on euphonium and jazz pianist David Cutler. Families of home-schooled children invited. Donation: $5 per adult. Reservations required by next Thursday for the luncheon. Information: 724-327-4295.

ON STAGE

Greensburg -- The music program at Seton Hill University will host the following concerts in the Carol Ann Reichgut Hall on the main floor of the university's performing arts center, 100 Harrison Ave.

• Pennsylvania Collegiate Choral Festival, 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Information: 724-552-2906.

• "Love Notes," Valentine's Day concert, 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Information: 724-552-2900. Sponsored by the music therapy department.

RELIGIOUS PROGRAMS

Westmoreland County -- Hope & Passion Ministries will hold the following events Sunday with speaker Shelli Prindle. Information: 412-779-1357.

• "The Story of Head on a Platter," 7 p.m., Norwin Alliance Church, 10585 Farview Drive, North Huntingdon.
