A man killed after crashing his pickup truck into a parked car and then into a fence and a utility pole in Hempfield Friday night has been identified.
The Westmoreland County coroner's office identified the victim as Larry Washington, 59, of Greensburg. He was alone in his older model Chevrolet and no one else was injured because of the crashes.
Officials are investigating the cause of the initial collision, which occurred on Radebaugh Road near Detroit Street about 7:15 p.m., said Grapeville fire Chief Mat Griffin. Officials said he was not wearing a seat belt.
