A man charged with killing another man in Morningside this weekend was arrested in West Mifflin Thursday night.

Julian Davis, 21, of East Liberty was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force about 9 p.m., Pittsburgh police Lt. Daniel Herrmann said.

Police obtained a warrant Wednesday night charging Mr. Davis with killing Shakkeem Harris, 22, also of East Liberty, on Sunday night.

Mr. Harris was found shot in a grassy area near the back entrance of Joe Natoli Field in Morningside about 1 a.m. Sunday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the two men met at the park to "hang out and talk." Mr. Harris' cell phone was missing after the shooting, police said.

Mr. Davis faces charges of criminal homicide, carrying a firearm without a license and theft.
