Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority work on a 16-inch water valve in the 800 block of East Ohio Street on the North Side will restrict traffic and leave customers with no service until 5 p.m. today.

Work on the valve began at 7 a.m., according to the water and sewer authority. Traffic inbound is down to one lane.

The 800 block is just east of Interstate 279.

According to the water and sewer authority, replacing the valve now will mean less disruptive maintenance later.
