Pittsburgh homicide officers are investigating a shooting in Garfield that left two men injured Sunday night.

Zone 5 officers responded to a shooting around 7:45 p.m. outside 412 North Fairmount Street. The two victims, both of Garfield, were not at the scene and arrived at West Penn Hospital shortly after the shooting, police said in a statement.

One of the victims, a 41-year-old, was shot in the abdomen and hand. A second 34-year-old victim was shot once in the chest. The men were transferred to Allegheny General Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition Sunday night.

Lt. Kevin Kraus declined to discuss potential suspects or a motive and said it was too early to tell if the incident was related to other recent shootings in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Homicide Squad at 412-323-7161.
