Two men robbed a North Side bank this afternoon, Pittsburgh city police said.

The first man entered the Citizens Bank, 1650 Metropolitan St. in Chateau, around 2:35 p.m. today and stopped near the front door, as if he were writing something, police spokeswoman Diane Richard said in a press release.

She said a second man walked to the front counter, with his arm covering his face, and shouted, "get down, get down, open 'em up."

He jumped over the counter, put an undisclosed amount of money into a blue plastic bag and fled the bank with the man standing by the door, Ms. Richard said.

No one was injured, she said.

The first man is a 6-foot-1-inch black male, with a dark complexion and thin build, wearing a tassel cap, she said. The second man is a black male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build, dark complexion and wore a tassel cap and a blue wind suit, she said.
