Timeline of calls for help

The following is a chronology of the EMS response to calls from Curtis Mitchell and his girlfriend, Sharon Edge. The information was provided by Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl's office.
2:09 a.m.: First 911 call from Mr. Mitchell and Ms. Edge at 5161 Chaplain Way, Hazelwood.
2:12 a.m.: Crew Chief Kim Long, working at the dispatch center, calls the couple to say help would be delayed because of snow.
3:38 a.m.: Medic 5 gets stuck in snow at Second Avenue and West Elizabeth Street. Mr. Mitchell or Ms. Edge cancels the call.
4:53 a.m.: The couple's second 911 call for help.
4:55 a.m.: Ms. Long calls back to say help would be delayed.
4:59 a.m.: EMS District Chief Norman Auvil, advised of pending call to Mr. Mitchell's home, says, "How about that? He can wait."
5:33 a.m.: Medic 8 dispatched to Mr. Mitchell's home.
5:50 a.m.: Medic 8 arrived at Second Avenue and West Elizabeth Street
6:09 a.m.: Medic 8 acting crew chief Josie Dimon, tired of waiting for Mr. Mitchell to walk to the ambulance, says, "This ain't no cab service."
6:15 a.m.: Mr. Mitchell calls 911 to say he can't walk to the ambulance. He cancels the call.
11:17 a.m.: Mr. Mitchell or his girlfriend again call 911 for assistance. At the time, more than 30 other EMS calls are pending.
8:53 p.m.: Medic 7 dispatched to Mr. Mitchell's home, unaware of his previous calls.
9:17 p.m.: Medic 7 arrived at West Elizabeth Street and Chaplain Way and began looking for Mr. Mitchell's home.
9:28 p.m.: Ms. Edge calls 911 to say Mr. Mitchell went to sleep and can't be roused to walk to the ambulance.
9:31 p.m.: The dispatch center canceled the call.
7:45 a.m.: Ms. Edge calls 911 to say Mr. Mitchell wasn't breathing.
