Three pedestrians struck on the South Side

Pittsburgh police closed down East Carson Street near the Birmingham Bridge tonight after they received a report that three pedestrians had been struck by a car.

An emergency dispatch supervisor said police were called to the area about 10:30 p.m. and the road remained closed a half hour later.

KDKA-TV reported that at least one of the victims was in critical condition.
