Three in custody following city police chase

Three people were taken into custody this morning and remanded to the Allegheny County Jail following a police chase that ended in Shadyside.
An emergency dispatch supervisor said the incident began along Larimer Avenue in East Liberty at 3 a.m. and ended a few minutes later when police stopped the fleeing vehicle at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Neville Street.
Police recovered a firearm and a bag of suspected cocaine, the supervisor said.
