Three Duquesne University dorms will close at 10 p.m. after a morning power outage also shut off heating and plumbing there.

The university is urging students in St. Ann, St. Martin and Assumption halls to go home or stay with friends in other residence halls or off-campus, according to an announcement on its website.

All Friday classes have been canceled.

Students who need housing should report to the Towers Multi-Purpose Room for further instructions. The Power Center and Duquesne Union will be open 24 hours until further notice.
